Pig roast planned
The Broadfording Church of the Brethren Fellowship in Cearfoss will hold a pig and corn roast/community music event Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m.
There will be activities for children, including a water slide. The meal will be served at 4 p.m. Tickets cost $8 for adults and $4 for those ages 5 to 12. Those 4 and younger eat free.
Music will be provided by Bev Mowen-Hann at 2 p.m.; Down Home Gospel Singers at 3 p.m.; Fertile Soil at 4 p.m.; and Hilltop Gospel Boys at 5 p.m.
Proceeds will benefit the church pavilion.

A Vacation Bible school titled "Water Works Park" will be held at Zion Assembly of God at 13814 Village Mill Drive in Maugansville July 27 to 31 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Broadfording Church
Vacation Bible school begins Sunday at Broadfording Church, at 13523 Broadfording Church Road in Hagerstown.
The theme is "Crocodile Dock." The event will include Bible learning that kids see, hear, touch and taste. The event will conclude Thursday with activities such as a moon bounce, water games and face painting.
