Free fingerprint/photo ID clinic will be offered at Old Market Day

July 17, 2009

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -- The Young Lawyers Division of the Franklin County Bar Association (FCBA) will offer a free fingerprinting and photo ID clinic during Old Market Day on Saturday in downtown Chambersburg.

The FCBA booth will be located in the first block of North Main Street, in the parking lot on the west side of the street being designated as the children's area for Old Market Day.

The IDs will provide parents with the kind of identifying information about their children that might be needed in an emergency, all in a pocket-sized, readily accessible folder.

Young lawyers from the local bar association, assisted by the Chambersburg Police Department and members of the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division, will fingerprint children, and can help parents compile such details as birth date, identifying physical features, blood type and allergies or chronic illnesses. When parents get home, they can add a recent photo of their child to complete the ID card.
