BOARDMAN, Ohio -- Tyler Walling had 12 strikeouts and Hagerstown scored 11 runs on nine hits to beat Butler 11-2 on Thursday in the first round of the PONY 13 Regional tournament.

Dylan Stouffer had two hits, including a three-run blast in the second inning that put Hagerstown ahead, 5-0.

Josh Moats followed with a three-run homer in the fifth to extend the lead to 10-2.

Hagerstown will play Mars, Ohio, this afternoon at 3.


Bushey wins at Beaver Creek

Chris Bushey made four birdies on the way to an even-par 72 on Thursday to win the WACO Juniors Beaver Creek Classic No. 4 by three shots over Zach Weber. Anthony Minnich finished third with an 82.

Weber holds the season points lead with 559, three ahead of Bushey. Minnich is third with 519 points.

Adenhart Spirit Night

Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant in Hagerstown will host a Nick Adenhart Spirit Night on Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m., to raise money for the Nick Adenhart Memorial Fund. During the evening, 15 percent of all food purchases will be donated to the find, which supports youth leagues in the Tri-State area and across the nation.
