WINCHESTER, Va. - Sheila Kay Poffenberger Keller, 63, of 117-12 Brookland Terrace, Winchester, Va., died Monday, July 13, 2009, at Blue Ridge Hospice Residential Center in Winchester.

Born May 25, 1946, in Hagerstown, Md., she was the daughter of the late Ralph Leroy and Catherine Madeline Obitts Poffenberger.

She was employed by FEMA.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Keller Sr.; daughter, Terri Carter of Croydon, Pa.; son, David Appleby Jr. of Winchester; stepson, Robert Keller of Columbia, S.C.; stepson, Michael Keller Jr. of Martinsburg, W.Va.; granddaughter, Paige Appleby of Harrisburg, Pa.; granddaughter, Jennifer Carter of Croydon; grandson, Andrew Carter of Croydon; grandson, David Carter of Croydon; grandson, Charles Hiser III of Portland, Ore.; brother, Ronald Poffenberger and wife, Joyce, of Martinsburg; brother, Larry Poffenberger and wife, Barbara, of Clinton, N.C.; brother, William Poffenberger and wife, Patricia, of Falling Waters, W.Va.; brother, Ralph Poffenberger and wife, Carolyn, of Hagerstown; sister, Wanda Hunt of Martinsburg; sister, Patsy Smith and husband, Richard, of Falling Waters; sister, Wilma Taylor of Williamsport, Md.; and three great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Poffenberger; and one sister, Lois Garrish.

Funeral service will be held at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, on Friday, July 17, 2009, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Ernest E. Witmer officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service Friday from 10 to 11 a.m.
