Bike Nite set for Saturday



Bike Nite roars into downtown Williamsport Saturday from 5 to 10 p.m. Enjoy the gear, food, vendors and special guest bike builders, Savage Cycles. The rock band On-Kilter will entertain.

A poker run to benefit the Abilities Network will be held at American Legion Post 202. Registration costs $10 per person and starts at 9:30 a.m. First bikes come out at 10 a.m.

At the Legion pavilion, the Williamsport Fire & EMS will hold a beef pit barbecue and biker rodeo games from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

At 9 a.m., East Salisbury Street will close from Conococheague Street to the first alley. At 3 p.m., South Conococheague Street will close from Potomac Street to Church Street; and Salisbury Street will close from the first alley of East Salisbury to Vermont Street.

Proceeds will benefit Williamsport charities.

St. James Brethren Church will be at Ag Expo



St. James Brethren Church will host the inside concession at the Washington County Ag Expo and Fair July 17 to 23. The inside concession will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. They plan to serve a selection of food, including breakfast sandwiches, daily specials, desserts and drinks.

The church's worship team will perform at Ag Expo, along with several other worship bands, on Sunday beginning at 6:30 p.m. The grandstand admission is free for this contemporary "Praise and Worship Night."

Conococheague Little League hosts the River City Classic July 18 to 25.

The Farmers Market is at the Springfield Farm Barn Thursdays from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Get fresh, homegrown vegetables, baked goods and more. Park at Pavilion 3, the market will be set up in front of Springfield Barn facing the Little League field.

 The summer concert series continues Sunday with the Stoney Creek Bluegrass Band from 4:30 to 7 p.m.

  Visit the ice cream concession sponsored by the Williamsport Volunteer Fire and EMS. Their volunteers serve up Hershey's hand-dipped and soft-serve ice cream daily. The concession is open Monday through Friday, 5 to 9 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 9 p.m.

The swimming pool and pool concession are open from noon to 6 p.m. daily. Admission is $3.50 per person. Those ages 2 and younger are admitted free. Rent a lounge chair and enjoy a relaxing afternoon.
