More than 200 grams of drugs found during traffic stop

Just less than 200 grams of marijuana were found after police searched a car July 9 during a traffic stop on Interstate 68 near Sandy Mile Road, according to Maryland State Police.

Michael Anthony Goldberg of Pequea, Pa., and Alexander Marino Vitto of Hilton Head, S.C., were charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, state police said in a press release.

The car was stopped about 2 p.m. for speeding as the driver was traveling from South Carolina to Masontown, W.Va., according to the release.

After a search of the vehicle, state police collected 199.3 grams of marijuana, a clear plastic bag of psilocybin mushrooms weighing 10 grams, a piece of blotter paper that tested positive for LSD and a clear plastic container of suspected hash weighing 5.4 grams, according to the release.
