Williamsport drops two

FREDERICK, Md. -- The Williamsport Nationals managed two runs in a doubleheader loss to a tough Frederick team on Saturday in the Western Maryland District.

In the opener, Jimmy Lanning's grand slam brought Frederick back from a 2-1 deficit and a 5-2 victory. Josh Green had two hits for Williamsport.

Lanning tossed a three-hit shutout in the nightcap as Frederick rolled to an 8-0 victory.
