Pet photos sought for Frederick exhibit



FREDERICK, Md. - In honor of the "Dog Days of Summer," the Frederick Arts Council is seeking artwork and photographs depicting images of their dogs, cats, and other pets.

The exhibit, "Art Has Gone to the Dogs," will be on display at the Cultural Arts Center. The opening reception will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1.

Artists, both amateur and professional, are encouraged to apply to exhibit their work.

If selected for the exhibit, participants must have their images framed and ready to hang. They must also meet certain size restrictions. Participants may sell their accepted artwork if they choose, and the Frederick Arts Council will retain a commission from all sales.

The deadline for submission is Friday, July 17. The Cultural Arts Center of Frederick County is located in historic downtown Frederick.
