Young Democrats to meet

BOONSBORO - The Washington County Young Democrats will host a potluck from 6 to 10 p.m. Sunday at Shafer Park in Boonsboro.

Ashley Haywood, new member of Hagerstown City Council, and Jake Weissman, president of the Young Democrats of Maryland, will speak.

The cost is $3 with a dish, $5 without a dish. The group will provide chicken, pasta salad and vegan burgers. Planned activities include kickball.

Workout class begins Thursday

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Chambersburg YMCA hosts the Total Access Teen Circuit beginning Thursday, July 9.

Open to ages 12 to 18. Classes will be from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Thursdays.

This is a total-body strength workout utilizing total-access weight machines and other fitness equipment such as exercise balls, medicine balls and jump ropes.

Cost is $3 for nonmembers, free to members. Class size is limited to 11.

Make a magnet class offered

SMITHSBURG - Smithsburg branch of the Washington County Free Library is hosting a craft evening.

Teens can make magnets at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 16, the library. Participants can also use paint to personalize them.

The library provides all supplies. Open to ages 12 to 18.
