Tech High students compete at national Skills/USA tourney

Washington County Technical High School students competed in the National Skills/USA Competition recently in Kansas City.

National place winners were:

Third place - Christine Kantner, medical math (national bronze medal winner)

Seventh place - Katie Coffman, health occupations professional portfolio.

10th place - Diana Escobar, Brendan Kloos and Denis Mitchell, engineering technology.

11th place - Trevor Fitz, Jared Helser, Brittany Hult and Steve Ingraham, entrepreneurship.

21st place - Lindsay Deal, photography.

Special thanks go to Tammy Wilson, Alan Zube, Harold Smith and especially Marjorie Kellman, adviser, for attending the national competition.

It should be noted that in the last two years, Tech High has achieved the following national place winners: first place, national gold medal; third place, national bronze medal; sixth place, seventh place, 10th place (twice) and 11th place.
