CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Gracie Fuller, age 53, of Chambersburg, Pa., died Saturday, July 4, 2009, after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born Nov. 13, 1955, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Vernal Byers Fuller.

Gracie worked as an intensive care manager for Franklin County.

She was a member of Burt J. Asper American Legion Post 46 Ladies Auxiliary and the Marine Corps League.

She attended Coldspring United Brethren Church in Fayetteville, and she enjoyed cooking and baking.

She is survived by her husband, Douglas Otenberger, whom she married Sept. 14, 2001; one son, Patrick L. Young (and wife, Kerrie) of Williamson, Pa.; two sisters, Alda (and husband, Sam) Fuller of Carlton Heights, Pa., and Sandy (and husband, Thomas) Corlett of Mississippi; two brothers, Terry (and wife, Karen) Fuller of St. Thomas and Thomas Fuller of Chambersburg; two grandchildren, Hailey and Alyssa Young; 44 nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Mary Harris.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2009, in the chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, with the Rev. Bert Lange and Rev. Donald Bender officiating. Interment will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to Lutheran Home Care and Hospice, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
