Lorraine Link, 62, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away Thursday, July 2, 2009, at Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown, Md.

Born March 9, 1947, in Winchester, Va., she is the daughter of Leldon "Dick" Riggleman and Helen (Funkhouser) Riggleman of Shanks, W.Va.

She worked for the C&O Canal National Historical Park as an administrative assistant for the visitors service, resources management and the budget analyst.

She was a member of Brownsville Church of the Brethren, where she served on a church board. She founded the prayer shawl ministry.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Ray Link, on May 8, 2005. Also preceded by two sisters, Patty and Sherry Riggleman.

Along with her parents, she is survived by a son, Andy C. Link of Middletown, Md.; a daughter, Michele Nokes and husband, Ricky, of Knoxville, Md.; a brother, Richard Riggleman and wife, Patricia, of Williamsburg, Va.; and two grandsons, Brandon and Zachary Nokes.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Brownsville Church of the Brethren, 1911 Rohrersville Road, Brownsville, Md., with Pastor Alan Smith officiating. Interment will be in Rio Cemetery, Rio, W.Va.

The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, W.Va., then on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.

All arrangements are being handled by McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, W.Va.
