Intimidators sweep Suns

One run in two games doesnt' win any games.

The Kannapolis Intimidators held the Hagerstown Suns down on Thursday for a 5-1, 4-0 sweep of a doubleheader.

The losses moved the Suns' losing streak to five games, one shy of a season high .

Kannapolis starter Charlie Leesman (6-4) pitched a complete game in the opener, allowing five hits and an unearned run over seven innings.

The Intimidators got two quick runs against Suns starter Brad Peacock (2-7) in the first inning, and doubled the lead in the third on a home run, triple, and passed ball.

The Hagerstown offense continued to struggle into the nightcap, managing just four hits while being shut out by Kevin Asselin (2-2) and Tyson Corley of Kannapolis.
