Funkstown streets to be repaved

The Washington County Division of Public Works-Capital Engineering Projects has announced that the Pavement Maintenance and Rehabilitation Project for Fiscal Year 2010 will begin Monday, July 6, in the Funkstown area.

Roads scheduled to receive full depth patching, milling and asphalt overlay include:

o Funkstown Road from Hebb Road to Funkstown Elementary School;

o Sturgis Drive from Hebb Road to the dead end;

o Bethlehem Court from Beaver Creek Road to the townhouse parking lot;

o Stouffer Avenue from Edgewood Drive to East Baltimore Street;

o and Haywood Circle from Edgewood Drive to Haywood Circle.

The work will take place from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. on weekdays.

The contractor is L.W. Wolfe Enterprises.

Motorists are asked to use caution in work areas.
