Plumb Grove event

The Independence Jam Committee would like to invite the public to Plumb Grove in Clear Spring Friday for a community event.

Entertainers will include Donnie and the Starlighters, Stoney Creek, Take Two, a barbershop quartet and Erika Ernst Osborne.

The event will feature children's games, vintage patriotic postcard exhibit at Plumb Grove, meet Uncle Sam and free ice cream (additional food and drinks will be available to purchase.)

Events start at 5 p.m. and a fireworks display is set for 9:30 p.m. The intersection of Martin Street and Broadfording Road will be closed for 20 minutes following the fireworks display for safety reasons. Admission is free.

Class of 1952

The Clear Spring High School class of 1952 met June 2 at Western Sizzlin restaurant. Nineteen members were in attendance. Don Tedrick served as emcee and shared several comical readings. Everyone reminisced about their old school days.
