GREENCASTLE, Pa. -- On Saturday, July 4, the eighth annual Greencastle-Antrim July 4th Celebration will be held at Tayamentasachta Environmental Center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Events will begin with an invocation and the singing of the national anthem. A flag-folding ceremony, conducted by members of Cub Scout Pack 95, will be part of the opening ceremonies.
Activities for ages 3 to 12 will follow in the all-purpose building just east of the pavilion. Activities include meeting a Ben Franklin re-enactor, kite making and a children's parade. Children are invited to participate by wearing their patriotic colors or costumes.
Other activites include the most patriotic family contest, a children's photograph, concerts, a Thomas the Tank Engine ride, a picnic lunch and a home- and business-decorating contest.
