Organizers are providing a free music festival, citing the tough economy, but asking attendees to donate $5 to its youth homelessness charitable initiative.

Acts include Weezer, Blink-182, Franz Ferdinand, Public Enemy, Jet, The National, Girl Talk, The Bravery, The Hold Steady, St. Vincent, Wale, Taking Back Sunday, Pete Tong, Danny Howells, Lee Burridge and more.

Tickets will be made available to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ticketmaster.com. Ticketmaster is waiving the convenience charge for fans who pick up their tickets at Merriweather or the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C.
