The American Red Cross of Washington County is sponsoring an antique and appraisal treasure hunt Saturday, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the organization's headquarters at 1131 Conrad Court in Hagerstown.
The event will include 18 to 20 flea market dealers, Valley Art Association artists displaying their work for sale and a classic car show by Hub City Cruisers.
Caricaturist Kent Roberts will be available from 9 a.m. to noon.; an auction by Elwood Auctioneering is planned for 11 a.m.; and barbecued chicken by George Rowe of Clear Spring will be available.
Well-known appraisers will verbally appraise collectibles for $5 from 9 a.m. to noon.
Appraisers include Phyllis Potter, china, glassware, quilts, fabrics and furniture; Vernon Lewis, Civil War and military items; Betty Bachtell, jewelry, sterling silver, glass, furniture; Linda Caricose, dolls and costume jewelry; Alesia Permansu, jewelry, clothing, china and fabrics; Tom Newcomer, fine jewelry; and Tom Bohon, Civil War items.
