Take Your Dog To Work Day

Did you know that Friday is Take Your Dog To Work Day?

This day was first celebrated in 1999.

It was created to celebrate that dogs are great companions and to encourage others to adopt the animals from humane societies, animal shelters and breed rescue clubs.

You are encouraged to ask your employer for permission to bring your well-behaved dog to your workplace, to honor our canine companions.

If the answer is no, accept the answer gracefully and possibly start a campaign in your workplace to change the atmosphere for next year's event.

If the answer is yes, be sure your dog will be a good canine ambassador and show you are a responsible pet owner by cleaning up after it and not allowing it to disturb others in the workplace who might not socialize with dogs.
