BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. -- A permit to construct a shopping center in southern Morgan County was approved Tuesday night by the Morgan County Planning Commission.

The planning commission's approval is contingent upon the approval of any outstanding permits.

Blue River Shopping Center, a 44,500-square-foot space, is to be built in the Morgan County Business Park at the intersection of U.S. 522 and J.R. Hawvermale Way.

Owner Suzanne DeLyon of McLean, Va., who has a home in Morgan County, said Wednesday the center will have a 20,000-square-foot supermarket, roller-skating rink, restaurant, hair-styling shop, dry cleaning pickup shop and other stores.
