Class of 1959

The South Hagerstown High School class of 1959 will hold its 50th anniversary reunion Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Hagerstown Elks Lodge.

Social hour begins at 5 p.m., dinner will be served at 6 and the dance is from 8:30 to 10.

Hagerstown Grace Brethren Church, at the corner of First and Spruce streets, will host a car show as the first of its summer family fun nights.


The cruise-in will be Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m for street rods, classic cars or muscle cars.

Hagerstown Lions Club

The Hagerstown Lions Club will hold donation recipient recognition day at its weekly meeting Tuesday.

Class of 1974

The South Hagerstown High School class of 1974 will hold its 35th anniversary reunion Saturday, Aug. 15, at Beaver Creek Country Club.

An informal social is planned for Friday, Aug. 14, at the 10th Inning Tavern in Funkstown.

Any class member (and their guest) of any other SHHS graduating class may also attend the Friday evening event (food and beverage on your own) and/or the Saturday evening indoor barbecue at a cost of $30 per person.

A five-day cruise from Baltimore to Bermuda is also planned for Oct. 31.

Farmers market

The City Farmers Market, at 25 W. Church St., in Hagerstown, will kick off summer Saturday, starting at 5 a.m.

There will be children's crafts from 9 to 11 a.m. while supplies last.
