St. John's Episcopal Church, the Rev. Stephanie Yancy will lead Sunday's 8 and 10:15 a.m. communion services. Music by the summer choir at the later service. Sunday school resumes in the fall. Adult forum on holy communion at 9 a.m.

St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Pastor Quentin Fleming will preside at the 8:15 and 10:30 a.m. communion services Sunday, speaking on Calm Amidst the Storm. Sunday school is at 9:15 a.m.

Trinity Lutheran Church, Hagerstown, Pastor Torben Aarsand is preacher and presider Sunday at the 8:30 a.m. worship in the sanctuary and praise worship at 9:45 a.m. in fellowship hall. Susan Stull is the lay assisting minister. Sunday school resumes in the fall.

St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Smithsburg, the Rev. Mark Mooney's topic at the 9:30 a.m. Sunday service is Jesus Calms the Storms of Life. A breakfast will precede the service at 8:30 a.m. Sunday school at 10:45 a.m.


First Christian Church, Senior Minister Fred Harris will give the message, I Never Thought it Would Mean This Much to Me!, at the 9:30 and 11:15 a.m. services. Special music by Matthew Albright, soloist and the women's ensemble. Sunday school at 11:15 a.m.

First Baptist Church, 15 High St., Hagerstown, Alan Myers, youth director, will speak at the 11 a.m. service Sunday on the topic, It Takes What? Sunday school at 9:45 a.m.

Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren, 20402 Beaver Creek Road, Pastor Rachel Black will give the message, Our Father, at the 10 a.m. service. Jean Minnick is worship leader. Special music by Ana Gaines, Rebekah Minnick and Kasie Stotler. Sunday school begins at 9 a.m.

Trinity Episcopal Church, Chambersburg, Pa., Sunday's sermon topic by preacher/celebrant Patrick Pierce at the 8 and 10 a.m. services is Calm in the Middle of Life's Storms. Communion will be celebrated at the coffee hour after the later service. Wednesday's healing/communion service begins at noon.

Valley Assembly of God Christian Life Center, 17544 York Road, Hagerstown, Sunday, the topic at the 10 a.m. service is Bring Your Child to Christ. Bible Study for all ages at 9 a.m. The 6 p.m. Sunday service is Marks of the Christian Life. Wednesday's NuVision Youth topic at 7 p.m. is Nehemiah.

Calvary United Methodist Church, Martinsburg, W.Va., the Rev. Al Clipp's message at 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. services Sunday is Faith to Confront Our Fears. Sunday school at 9:30 a.m.

A Cry in the Wilderness Ministries, the Rev. Steve Burdette and the congregation will hold services Sunday at 10:30 a.m. on the topic, Honor Thy Father. All fathers will be recognized. Services are at Steve's Studio, 13194 Monterry Lane, Blue Ridge Summit, Pa.

Emmanuel Baptist Temple, 16221 National Pike, Hagerstown, Mark Chapman will speak at 8:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday on God's Expectations for Fathers.
