Charleen Ann Butts, 70, of 112 E. Antietam St. in Hagerstown, Md., died Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown.
Born Sept. 10, 1938, in Williamsport, Md., she was the daughter of the late Charles "Stummy" Leroy Stumbaugh and Dorothy Helen Gruber Stumbaugh Lushbaugh.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Butts, in 2006.
She was a 1957 graduate of Williamsport High School.
She was a homemaker.
She was a Protestant.
She is survived by two sons, Tony M. Butts and his wife, Robin, of Hedgesville, W.Va., and Terry M. Butts and his wife, Leslie, of Williamsport; three daughters, Tammy M. Beasley and Theresa M. Carpenter, both of Hagerstown, and Teraleen M. Roberts and her husband, Dwayne, of Keedysville, Md.; one grandson whom she raised, Tony Butts and his wife, Carol, of Halfway, Md.; three sisters, Lovaleen Brining of Hagerstown, Judith Palmer of Williamsport and Nellie Mae Jordan of Halfway; one brother, Charles L. Stumbaugh of Williamsport; two stepbrothers, Howard Lushbaugh and Harrison "Tiny" Lushbaugh, both of Hagerstown; one stepsister, Chris Grimes of Williamsport; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
