The owner of a Williamsport-area deli and restaurant said Wednesday he plans to open an eatery at the former Richardson's on Dual Highway in Hagerstown.

In a discussion with the Washington County Board of License Commissioners, Michael Fotta said he hopes the new restaurant will open by the middle of August.

The new restaurant, which will be called The Landing, would have a bar and will do catering, Fotta said.

It would have about 300 seats and about 30 employees, he said.

Fotta said he expects to sell Governor's Landing, a deli and restaurant on Governor Lane Boulevard near Williamsport, in the next few weeks.
