EASTLAKE, Ohio -- Mark Thompson and Chris Nash homered to lead the Lake County Captains to a 5-2 win Tuesday and a two-game sweep of the Hagerstown Suns.
Paul Demny took the loss for the Suns, dropping his record to 1-6 on the year.
The Suns (29-32) started strong, scoring twice in the top of the first off Lake County starter Trey Haley. Jose Lozada led off the game with a walk, advanced to second on a single by Steve Lombardozzi and eventually scored on a sacrifice fly by Tyler Moore.
Steven Souza singled in Lombardozzi to give the Suns a 2-0 lead.
Lake County (28-34) took the lead with three runs in the third. Adam White had an RBI triple and scored on Donnie Webb's sacrifice fly before Thompson's solo shot gave the Captains a 3-2 edge.
In the fourth, Abner Abreu doubled and Nash followed with a two-run homer to close out the scoring.
