EASTLAKE, Ohio -- Mark Thompson and Chris Nash homered to lead the Lake County Captains to a 5-2 win Tuesday and a two-game sweep of the Hagerstown Suns.

Paul Demny took the loss for the Suns, dropping his record to 1-6 on the year.

The Suns (29-32) started strong, scoring twice in the top of the first off Lake County starter Trey Haley. Jose Lozada led off the game with a walk, advanced to second on a single by Steve Lombardozzi and eventually scored on a sacrifice fly by Tyler Moore.

Steven Souza singled in Lombardozzi to give the Suns a 2-0 lead.

Lake County (28-34) took the lead with three runs in the third. Adam White had an RBI triple and scored on Donnie Webb's sacrifice fly before Thompson's solo shot gave the Captains a 3-2 edge.

In the fourth, Abner Abreu doubled and Nash followed with a two-run homer to close out the scoring.

Haley (2-3) went six innings and allowed just three hits -- two of them in the first. Steve Smith struck out the side in the ninth for his 11th save.

Demny also lasted six innings, giving up seven hits and walking two.

The Suns return home tonight to start a two-game series against Lakewood.
