New Venture Crew forming in Hagerstown

June 15, 2009

A new Venture Crew is forming in the Hagerstown area.

Venturing is a youth development program of the Boy Scouts of America for young men and women who are 14 (and have completed eighth grade) through 20 years of age.

The new group - Crew 8 - will be focused on photography as a hobby.

Crew members will learn about all aspects of photography, including composition, exposure, lighting, posing and the digital darkroom.

As part of the learning experience, crew members will plan photo walks and photo excursions.

Crew 8 will also become the photography group for the Mason-Dixon Council and will build a repository of images for use by the BSA.

Applications are now being accepted by the crew or the Mason-Dixon Council.
