June 12, 2009

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Whitetail Resort announced Thursday it's investing $1.7 million in improvements for skiers and snowboarders.

A new half-pipe, terrain park and beginner adult carpet lift will be under construction during the off-season, according to a news release.

The half-pipe will be cut into the Jib Junction Terrain Park on the Angel Drop trail. The beginner terrain park will be added to the Snow Park trail to introduce beginners to freestyle skiing and riding, the news release stated.

The beginner carpet lift will extend 400 feet on the Northern Lights trail. It will serve as the lift to introduce first-time skiers and riders to the sport.
