The Hagerstown Suns scored three runs in the fourth inning on four singles, a walk and an RBI groundout to take the lead en route to a 5-3 victory over the Delmarva Shorebirds on Friday night in a South Atlantic League game at Municipal Stadium.
Michael Guerrero and Sandy Leon led off the fourth with singles, with Guerrero beating a throw to third base and Leon taking second on the play. Chris Curran followed with a groundout to short to score Guerrero and tie the game at 3.
With two outs, Stephen Lombardozzi walked before Derek Norris and Tyler Moore hit RBI singles to give the Suns the 5-3 lead.
Five Hagerstown relievers -- Austin Garrett, Justin Phillabaum, Patrick Arnold, Carlos Peralta and Osvaldo Rodriguez -- combined to hold Delmarva scoreless over the final six innings.
