Bruce Henry Fink, 76, of Hagerstown, Md., died Monday, June 8, 2009, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Feb. 20, 1933, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Ernest C. and Pauline Zeller Fink.

He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Navy as a Quartermaster Third Class aboard the battleship USS Missouri.

He retired from the State of Maryland, where he was employed at Greenbrier State Park.

He was a member of Funkstown American Legion Post 211, VFW 1936, the AMVETS of Middletown, Md., BPO Elks 378 and the Improved Order of Red Men Lodge 84 in Williamsport .

He is survived by one sister, Evelyn Johns of California; three nieces, Debbie Zimmerman, Pat Weakley and Donna Dinkle; one nephew, Doug Forcino; nine great-nieces and great-nephews; and 10 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.


He was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Forcino; and one brother, Ernest C. Fink Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. The Rev. David Albertson will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.
