Numerous tires slashed in Martinsburg

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. -- Martinsburg City Police are investigating a rash of tire slashings this week, police said in a news release.

Approximately 28 tires have been cut or flattened in various parts of town, with most of the damage done on the east side of town Monday and Wednesday, police said.

The public is asked to call police if they see any suspicious people walking in their neighborhoods late at night.
