June 08, 2009

More than 190 alumni, parents and guests attended Saint James School's Blue Jean Ball hosted by the Parents Association on May 15.

The fundraiser was the first of the year for the group and was designated to raise money for the continuing efforts to support faculty and students, and to make a significant contribution to the renovations of Kemp Hall by purchasing new furniture for the new student center.

More than $55,000 was raised.

The evening featured silent and live auctions with more than 115 donated items, including weekend excursions, golf and fishing vacations, sports and concert tickets, paintings, dinner parties, movie tickets, gift certificates and works of art.

Guests dined on food catered by Flannery's Tavern On The Square, and beverages by Wantz Distributors and the Airport Inn, while listening to the sounds of The Rhythm Kings.
