HOLLIDAYSBURG, Pa. -- Rochelle Christman hit a two-run double, Rachel Stotler drove in the winning run with a fielder's choice in the sixth inning, and Rachel Kline tossed a five-hitter as Greencastle-Antrim advanced to the PIAA Class AAA state semifinals with a victory over Punxsutawney in the quarterfinals Thursday.

The Blue Devils (23-3) committed four errors -- both of Punxsutawney's runs were unearned -- but made enough plays behind Kline to pull out the victory and go a step further than last year's playoff run.

Punxsutawney (20-3) took a 1-0 lead in the second with the help of two Greencastle errors. The Blue Devils responded with a pair of runs in the third for a 2-1 lead. Diamond Byers led off with a single, Meghin Palmer hit a one-out single and Christman lashed her two-run double with two outs.

Punxsutawney tied the game in the fifth with two two-out singles and a Blue Devils error.

Greencastle scored the final run in the sixth. Katy Bobbitt led off with a double, Christman was intentionally walked and both runners moved up a base on a passed ball. Stotler's fielder's choice grounder scored Bobbitt.

Kline was not overpowering -- she only struck out one hitter -- but she allowed no walks, and 15 of the 21 outs she recorded came on groundouts, eight to Bobbitt at second base.

Greencastle, the District 3 champion, will play in the semifinals on Monday against Trinity, out of District 7, at a time and place to be announced.
