McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. -- A McConnellsburg man is charged with raping and sexually assaulting two girls, one 10 and one 12, Pennsylvania State Police troopers said Thursday.
Stephen W. Dubree Jr., 39, was being held Thursday evening at the Franklin County Prison in Chambersburg, Pa., according to someone in the booking department.
He has been held there since May 8, the day his home was searched, troopers said in a news release.
The two victims are not related to Dubree.
Dubree, of 68 Hillside Estates in Todd Township, faces the following first-degree felony charges: one count of rape of a child, two counts of attempted rape of a child, one count of attempted involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and two counts of aggravated indecent assault of a child, Pennsylvania State Trooper Angela Roher said Thursday.
He is also charged with the following second-degree felonies: one count of statutory sexual assault, two charges of criminal attempted statutory sexual assault and two counts of aggravated indecent assault.
