Richard Tyson Brunner, 55, of Hagerstown, Md., died Monday, June 1, 2009, at Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown.

He was born Dec. 19, 1953, in Hagerstown to Carletia L. Mowbray Brunner Davies of Hagerstown and the late Robert M. Brunner.

He was a graduate of South Hagerstown High School.

He was employed by Mack Trucks Inc. of Hagerstown.

He previously served with the Army National Guard in Hagerstown.

He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Hagerstown.

He also was a member of Eagles Inc. of Waynesboro, Pa., and the NRA.

Survivors include, besides his mother, wife Barbara L. Detwiler Brunner of Hagerstown, to whom he was married for 34 years; daughter Heather N. Brunner of Greencastle, Pa.; daughter Jenny L. Rebuck of Williamsport, Md.; daughter Sarah L. Dietz of Hagerstown; grandson Tre A. Arnsparger of Greencastle; grandson Dylan T. Kline of Williamsport; grandson Conner M. Dietz of Hagerstown; granddaughter Lainey N. Smith of Greencastle; granddaughter Lillian L. Dietz of Hagerstown; three brothers and two sisters; and four stepbrothers and two stepsisters.


The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, on Tuesday, June 2, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral home will be open after 1 p.m. Tuesday for the convenience of family and friends.

Funeral services will be at the Osborne Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Peter Guadalupe officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport.
