Suns edge Hickory

HICKORY, N.C. -- Tyler Moore's RBI single in the fifth inning gave Hagerstown the lead, and Marcos Frias worked seven solid innings as the Suns held off Hickory 4-3 on Monday night in the South Atlantic League.

Frias allowed five hits, two walks and one earned run while striking out four to improve to 3-1 for Hagerstown (23-25). Frias lowered his ERA to 2.45.

Carlos Peralta worked two innings for his third save, walking one and striking out one.

The Suns took a 2-0 lead in the first with the help of two Crawdads errors. Stephen Lombardozzi and Derek Norris each singled and came around to score on the miscues.

Hagerstowm made it 3-0 in the fourth when Charlie Fermaint singled and scored on Michael Guerrero's double.

Hickory (25-25) tied the game with three runs in the bottom of the fourth. Erik Morrison led off with a double and scored on an error, and Cristian Santana hit a two-run single.

Jose Lozada singled with one out to start the Suns' rally in the fifth. Norris singled to move Lozada to second before Moore's single to right drove Lozada in with the winning run.
