Catherine W. Keedy, 91, of 1158 Luther Drive, Hagerstown, Md., died Thursday, May 14, 2009, at Ravenwood Assisted Living.

Born June 12, 1917, in Keedysville, Md., she was the daughter of the late George M. and Sarah Goldie Leatherman Wyand.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Keedy.

She was employed by First National Bank in Purcellville, Va.

She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and choir in Keedysville, and the United Methodist Church and choir in Purcellville.

She is survived by one daughter, Sandra Townsend of Martinsburg, W.Va.; one sister, Dorothy Roulette of Hagerstown; and two grandchildren, Amanda Townsend and Chris Townsend, both of Martinsburg.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Mumma, Pauline Dagenhart and Lela Hill; brother, Emory Wyand; and twin brothers, Leo Wyand and Leon Wyand.

A memorial service will be Saturday, May 30, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Blaine E. Feightner will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

The family will receive friends Saturday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
