Waterline break shuts down part of Antietam Street

May 28, 2009

West Antietam Street between Summit Avenue and South Potomac Street in Hagerstown was reopened to traffic Thursday about 2 p.m. after being closed for about five hours for waterline repairs.

The street had been closed while city workers fixed a subsurface waterline that broke about 9 a.m., Hagerstown Water Supervisor John Kline said.

The leak was isolated to the east end of West Antietam Street, Kline said.
