Centra Bank officially broke ground on its new North Pointe office on Thursday.

Construction is expected to be completed by late August with a grand opening in early September, according to a press release from the bank.

County officials, area business leaders, Centra Bank board members, and the bank's management and staff were on hand for the groundbreaking.

The state-of-the-art, one-story, 3,400-square-foot brick-and-glass building is to be built at 18743 North Pointe Drive near the new Martin's Food Market. The facility will be constructed by a local contractor and subcontractors, providing jobs within the community, according to the release.
