Mrs. Baker entered the nursing home in January 2002.
Mrs. Baker was employed as a cook for Victor Cullen Center in Sabillasville, Md., and as a caregiver for the Washington County (Md.) Health Department.
She was a member of Christ Reformed United Church of Christ and a former member of Cascade American Legion Post 239 Ladies Auxiliary, Cascade, Md., and South Mountain Rod and Gun Club Ladies Auxiliary, Smithsburg.
She is survived by her ex-husband, Dewey E. Harvey of Martinsburg, W.Va.; two daughters, Carolyn J. (husband D. Steven) Smith of Waynesboro, Pa., and Celena M. (husband M. Todd) McNairn of Hagerstown; two sons, George E. (wife Donna M.) Harvey of Smithsburg and Philip D. (wife Tambry E.) Harvey of Martinsburg; six grandchildren, Brenda M. Hongell, Cheryl E. Harvey, Shelby L. McNairn, Shawna N. McNairn, Kendra L. Harvey and D. Wayne Smith; one stepgranddaughter; four great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; three sisters, Betty McClain of Mont Alto, Pa., Doris Michaels of Berryville, Va., and Lillian Barthlow of Greencastle, Pa.; four brothers, Ralph Butts of Roanoke, Va., Richard Butts and Ronnie Butts, both of Waynesboro, and Michael Butts of Greencastle; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and second husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Butts.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2009, at Christ Reformed United Church of Christ, 22515 Cavetown Church Road, Cavetown, with the Rev. Carol D. Hollman officiating. Burial will follow in Smithsburg Lutheran Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro.
