E. Russell Hicks volleyball



An informational meeting for girls in grades six to eight interested in playing volleyball will be held Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the E. Russell Hicks Middle School gymnasium.

Hagerstown Lions Club



Tuesday - Hagerstown City Engineer Rodney Tissue will speak at the Hagerstown Lions Club about road construction in Hagerstown.

Discovery Station



Saturday - Ginny Gaylor, from STAR Equestrian Center, with Abby, the miniature horse, will be at Discovery Station at 2 p.m.

Evening service



Emmanuel United Methodist Church, at 802 Summit Ave., will hold an evening service Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Music, drama, and a brief meditation are planned. David Aldberding will be the song leader. The goal is for a family night held monthly where all have an opportunity to participate, sharing individual talents. For more information, call the church at 301-733-4720.

Yard sale to benefit CAC



The annual Williamsport Red Men Tribe 84 yard sale will be at 16129 Lappans Road on Saturday, June 20, from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Proceeds will benefit Washington County Community Action Council Inc.

Tables will be available for $15 per table under the pavilion.

You can bring your own tables and set up around the pavilion for a cost of $10 per table. Setup will start at 5 a.m.

There will be a concession stand and bake sale table.

Garden tour



The Women's Club will hold its house and garden club tour Saturday, June 13, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The tour costs $20 for all eight sites or $5 for each.

Lunch will be served at the club on tour day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch will cost $7.

The tour includes Plumb Grove, the Waddy Cottage at Homewood, Lehman's Mill, the Women's Club, the Weiss Farm, Truesdell's Brightwood, Valerio Home and Gardens in Chewsville and Lois Weil Kaufman's house at Cherry Lane.

Tickets are available by calling the club at 301-739-0870. Tickets may also be purchased at Wisteria Cove, Miller's Farmstead, Camillions, Fahrney's Cards, Snavely's Garden Corner, Village Florist, Lehman's Mill and Charles A. Gibney Florist.

Yard sale



St. James Brethren Church will hold a yard sale Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pavilion spaces cost $15 and include tables. Parking lot spaces cost $10 and tables are not provided. Breakfast will be available from 8 to 10 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
