Guns, jewelry and heart medication stolen from Antrim Township home



GREENCASTLE, Pa. -- Between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday, burglars entered a home in the 6400 block of Guitner Road in Antrim Township and stole five guns, jewelry and heart medication, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

After breaking a window and reaching in to unlock a door, the thieves took two Mossburg .22-caliber rifles, a single-shot .22-caliber Colt rifle, a Fox model 16-gauge shotgun and a Stevens model pump-action 12-gauge shotgun, police said.

Also taken were two rings, a charm bracelet, a collectible Indian doll, three jewelry boxes containing unknown jewelry and prescription heart medication, police said.

Safe containing $1,000 stolen from Maryland home



OLDTOWN, Md. -- Maryland State Police in Cumberland are investigating a burglary that occurred Thursday at a home in the 12900 block of Lower Town Creek Road in which a safe containing $1,000 was stolen.

Witnesses told police that two four-wheelers -- yellow and dark green -- were seen in the area between 4:45 and 7:15 p.m., when the burglary occurred.

Rash of vandalism reported in Greene Township, Pa.



FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. -- A rash of vandalism was reported to Pennsylvania State Police Friday, Saturday and Monday in various parts of the county.

o The windows of a 2004 GEM Envoy and a 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier, both in the 1300 block of Memory Lane in Greene Township, were reported broken out early Monday with an aluminum baseball bat.

o A car was egged Saturday between 9:20 p.m. and midnight in the parking lot of Chambersburg (Pa.) Mall.

o A garage window was reported broken with a rock in the first block of Fifth Avenue in Greene Township at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

o A mailbox in the 2700 block of Grandpoint Road in Greene Township was reported damaged Friday at 3:55 p.m.

o At 7:47 a.m., theft of fishing rods was reported from 36 E. Church St.

o At 1:16 p.m., theft of mail was reported from 17750 Virginia Ave.

o At 7:56 p.m., a fight was reported at Shafer Park in Boonsboro.

o At 8:07 p.m., a window was reported broken out of vehicle at 13403 Herman Myers Road.

o At 8:26 p.m., an assault was reported at Big Pike Children's Home, 12720 Rockdale Road.

o At 9:22 p.m., a fight was reported at Sheetz in Williamsport.

o At 9:34 p.m., an undesirable was reported at 4 Oak Tree Lane.

Saturday

o At 12:03 a.m., a fight was reported at Creekside Inn, 1225 Security Road.

o At 6:32 a.m., damage to a pool was reported at 1223 Wabash Ave.

o At 8:03 a.m., firearms and a watch were reported stolen from 11311 Marbern Road.

o At 10:18 a.m., a shoplifter was reported at J.C. Penney, 17301 Valley Mall Road.

o At noon, damage was reported at the Americom building, Insurance Way.

o At 4:40 p.m., damage to a fence was reported at 26 Chips Court, Smithsburg.

o At 5:51 p.m., a shoplifter was reported at Sears, 17301 Valley Mall Road.

Friday

o At 8:19 a.m., two weed eaters were reported stolen from 113 E. Antietam St.

o At 12:14 p.m., theft was reported from Mastercuts, 17301 Valley Mall Road.

o At 1:20 p.m., theft was reported from Old Navy, 17301 Valley Mall Road

o At 3:14 p.m., theft was reported from Jennifer's Florals, 13710 Pennsylvania Ave.

o At 5:11 p.m., an attempted theft of a moped from 486 Antietam Drive was reported.

o At 7:01 p.m., theft of money was reported from 1209 Frederick St.
