The Shenbergers

George E. and Norva J. Shenberger of Felton, Pa., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a surprise party on May 10, 2009, at Old Stonehedge in Red Lion, Pa.

The party was hosted by their three children and their families, Pamela Love of York, Pa.; Daniel Shenberger of Winterstown, Pa.; and Melisa Altland of Spring Grove, Pa. About 150 guests attended the event.

The Shenbergers spent their anniversary traveling to New York to bring their granddaughter home from college. While they were there, they took a bus trip to New York City and a ferry ride to Ellis Island.


Mr. Shenberger is the son of the late Earl and Elsie Shenberger. He retired in 2002 from Yorktowne Kitchens after 47 years of service.

Mrs. Shenberger is the daughter of the late Morgan and Helen Zaros. She is a 1956 graduate of Boonsoro High School, and has been living in Pennsylvania since 1958. She worked for D.E. Stetler and Sons for 35 years, and retired in 2002 from Apple Dealership.

The Shenbergers were married May 2, 1959, at Exalting Christ Chapel in New Freedom, Pa., by George Kohler.

The Osbornes

Bill and Dianna Osborne of Martinsburg, W.Va., celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary April 26, 2009, with a formal brunch, at the Old South Mountain Inn in Boonsboro.

The Osbornes have two children, Michelle Sonesen and Shawn Osborne, and two grandchildren.

Mr. Osborne is retired from Roxbury Correction Institute.

Mrs. Osborne is employed with the United States Postal Service in Williamsport.
