May 24, 2009

The Hickory Crawdads used a big inning for the second night in a row to get by the Hagerstown Suns.

The Crawdads scored five runs in the top of the fourth and rapped out 13 hits in an 8-6 victory over the Suns at Municipal Stadium on Sunday.

The Suns had 14 hits -- including a 4-for-4 night by Steve Lombardozzi -- but went just 2-for-12 with runners in scoring position and left 10 men on base.

The Crawdads got five straight hits off Suns starter Brad Peacock (0-4) to start the fourth, including a three-run homer by Doug Hogan.
