Howling to benefit strays

May 22, 2009

Preparations are under way for the fifth annual LuHowl, a fundraiser for the Humane Society of Washington County.

The Hawaiian-themed fundraiser will be held at 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 13, at the Williamsport home of Don and Jone Bowman. Fuds raised will go to HSWC's spay and neuter programs.

"The Bowmans are extremely gracious to open their home to the LuHowl guests," said Paul Miller, executive director of the HSWC. "Last year we had the largest attendance to date and we hope to surpass that this year."

The event will feature a catered meal from Black-Eyed Susan, beverages from Wantz Distributing Company, a silent auction, a raffle prize, prizes for best-dressed LuHowl attendees and music by DJ Mike.
