The City of Hagerstown has announced the following road closures for next week:
Summit Avenue
Weather permitting, Musser Plumbing will be installing water service to 155 Summit Ave., beginning Tuesday and continuing through May 29.
As a result, Summit Avenue will be closed from Hood Street to Antietam Street during the work hours of 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., the City of Hagerstown said in a press release. Emergency vehicles will not be able to pass through that block of Summit Avenue during those hours, according to the release.
Summit Avenue will reopen each evening. While it is closed, Herald-Mail customers can reach the newspaper's parking lot by driving from Baltimore Street to Hood Street.
Musser Plumbing will post a detour and will be directing traffic via Baltimore Street to Locust Street to Antietam Street, the city said.
