Way to go, Kaydee



Congratulations to Clear Spring Elementary School third-grader Kaydee Lesher, who competed in the 2009 Level 5 Maryland State Gymnastics Competition April 25 in Columbia, Md.

She became the 2009 State Champion on uneven bars with a score of 9.375.

She also became the 2009 State Champion on floor exercise with a score of 9.300.

Kaydee took second place all-around in the state for her age.

Kaydee trains at 4-Star Gymnastics in Williamsport.

The Level 5 team won the competition and became the 2009 Level 5 team state champions.

Kaydee and her family would like to thank coaches Deanna Kline and Sandi Van Cleave for all of the hard work and dedication to their team.

Class of 1952



The Clear Spring High School class of 1952 is having a get-together at the Western Sizzlin' in Hagerstown on Tuesday, June 2, at 11:30 a.m. All classmates are encouraged to attend.

Soup and sandwich sale



Fort Frederick Ruritan will hold a soup and sandwich sale at the Big Pool Community Building Friday from 3 p.m. until sold out. Country ham sandwiches, homemade soups, pies and cakes will be available.
