Found animals

The following animals recently were found and taken to the Humane Society of Washington County.

If you think your pet is among those listed, you may visit the Humane Society of Washington County at 13011 Maugansville Road. The shelter's business hours are Monday, 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Wednesday and Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

These animals may be made available for adoption after five days. Call 301-733-2060 for more information.


Senior beagle, white, brown and black, found on Locust Street.

Adult beagle, black and brown, found on Taylors Landing and Mondel roads.

Adult German shepherd, black and tan, found on State Line Road.

Senior dachshund/Chihuahua mix, brown and black, found on Wishard Road.

Two adult beagles, black and brown, found on Shepherdstown Pike in Sharpsburg.

Adult Jack Russell terrier/Chihuahua mix, white, black and brown, found on Manor Church Road in Boonsboro.


Senior Chow Chow mix, black, found on Garis Shop Road.


Senior Himalayan/DLH, cream and chocolate, found on Valley Road.

Adult DSH, black and gray, found on Bear Creek Drive.

Adult DMH, black, found on Water Street.
