BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Robert Lee "Bub" Munday, age 62, of Jim West Road, died Thursday, May 14, 2009, at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Md.

Born May 23, 1946, in Hancock, Md., he was the son of the late Robert Edwin Munday Sr. and Viola Marie Potter Munday.

He was employed with East Ridge Health Systems in Hedgesville, W.Va.

He and his wife operated Taymore's Consignment Shop in Hancock, and he was formerly employed with the I-70 Truck Stop in Frederick, Md., as manager.


He is survived by his second wife, Shelly Taymore Hepner Munday of Berkeley Springs; two daughters, Violet Marie Jones of Hancock and Melissa Kay Berry of Frederick; two sons, Bobby Lee Munday of Brunswick, Md., and Robert Edmond Munday Jr. of Hancock; one stepdaughter, Shelly Lewren Morrison of Hagerstown, Md.; one sister, Shirley Ann Munday Fleegle of Hancock; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Monday, May 18, at 2 p.m. at the Tonoloway Primitive Baptist Cemetery near Hancock. Robert Summers and Pastor Lowell Barnhart will officiate.

The family will receive friends Sunday at the Grove Funeral home, Hancock, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.

The family requests that clothing contributions may be made to Taymore's Consignment, 105 W. Main St., Hancock, MD 21750.
