Luncheon and fashion show held at Ebenezer

Ebenezer AME Church held its Mother's Day Luncheon and Fashion Extravaganza May 8. It began with a praise and worship dance by Ebenezer's Youth Group, followed by a welcome from Lashia Gross. The prayer and blessing of food was led by Siani Sanders. The mistress of ceremonies was Anna Doleman.

This year's luncheon included a special honor for Lucy P. Jones for her many years of service on the missionary board - 60 years to be exact. She was presented with a plaque and planter with flowers.

The Ebenezer Missionary Society has been named after her for the past six years; it is officially known as "The Lucy P. Jones Missionary Society."

After lunch, the group enjoyed a fashion show, which included "Church Attire," "Semi-Formal and Formal Wear" and a fashion "surprise" by Robert Burnett (who arrived dressed as Jimi Hendrix). The show also included original fashions by Anthony Doleman titled "Cruise Wear."
