May 15, 2009

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. -- Martinsburg Police are looking for a man who robbed the 7-Eleven store at 201 Winchester Ave. early Friday and then stole the store clerk's car.

At about 1:45 a.m. a white male entered the store and demanded money from a clerk, police said in a news release. He did not show a gun, but gestured as if he had one, police said.

After taking an undisclosed amount of cash from the store, the man fled the scene by stealing a 2002 Mitsubishi Galant registered to the store clerk, police said. The car was later found on the 500 block of West Race Street.

Police are looking for a man about 5 feet 10 inches tall with light brown shoulder-length wavy hair but no facial hair. He was wearing a black bandana, a black hooded jacket and camouflage pants.
